Craft Show from 1pm-3pm on Saturday, Dec 5th

One of my fellow marketing partners called me a few weeks back and gave me a lead on a craft show at a retirement center in the Valley here in Spokane. What an opportunity I thought! I am also going to be presenting my work and hopefully selling items at a craft show in Deer Park on the 11th and 12th of December. This is exciting because I am able to create affordable items for people but still give them a custom product. Anyone that knows scrapbooking, knows it is far from affordable.

I have a friend who suggested to me that I mass produce my baby albums and then I could charge a lower price. The albums would all be the same and the recipient would essentially be the one to do the customizing of the album....but still the same concept as before. So, I thought good and hard how I could do this and at little cost to myself.....and of course taking less time to create a good product. Quality is essential for the work I do...so I had to be sure I was not sacrificing quality. To make this very long story short....I finally came up with a way to mass produce baby albums so that they still have character and quality but they take a short amount of time to produce.

I featured the 6X6 Blossoms & Butterflies album as well as the Three Little Pigs albums. These albums took about 2 full days to complete all 8 albums. And they are cute, simple, and make great gifts for that new or expectant mom. All the albums I had featured before with no albums included are now sold in albums for the same low prices. So, the 6X6 album now goes for $35 and the 8X8 albums are $50. I know this is amazing. But I have decided that unless you just want a custom album with a specific theme then I am going to sell albums at this size and price from now on. I love being able to share the gift of memories with others. And now we surely can Remember You when we Scrap!

Template Layouts

This is a general template that I put together to show you how your pages could be laid out if you were to order from me. The colors are neutral in nature just to show a layout form....so any paper or colors can be used on any page. Also photos may be larger or smaller depending on the page, per your request. Each page may be referred to by a colored number below the photo!

Changing!

My Blog is going to be changing here very soon! It will be easier to see what you are looking for when the new blog is up. Also this will serve as a better marketing tool for me to advertise my business. I am also on the Etsy site and will be trying to learn more about getting my name out there more with the training Etsy provides its sellers! So, stay tuned to changes! CALENDARS!!!!!!!

October is the month for Calendars! And since it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month I decided that I should donate a few dollars to the Breast Cancer Centers for every calendar I sell this month. DO NOT FORGET!!!!! Calendars make great lasting gifts. I have been making calendars for my mother and mother in law for going on 4 years now! And they are a fabulous way to keep track of granchildren and to keep track of life and your own kids. Life keeps going on, but memories don't always stay with us unless they are recorded!!!! So do yourself a favor and get a calendar kit! or I will make it for you! Reasonable price for a precious treasure!

Behind the Photo!

Some of you may have stopped by my page and noticed a new photo as my business Logo! Well, the Mason Jar Girls were wonderful while I used them, however, my husband drew my attention to the fact that my mother-in-law had a photo of her mother and her four sisters which was similiar to that of the Mason Jar Girls. So, I recieved a copy of the photo and my good friend Amy helped me to replace the Mason Jar Girls with this photo of our family. I think it suits this business much more as I will be cherishing family memories for many years to come.

Grand Ol' Ideas!

When I am not scrapbooking, cleaning my house, taking care of my family or just trying to make time for me I am thinking! I am usually brainstorming about things that need to get done and how can I make more time in the day for these things to get done! However, I am often spinning my wheels thinking of ways to make my work more affordable to the mass public but with the same quality of work! This is where the Economically Friendly Baby books come from. Scrapbooking is a joy but it takes a lot of work and a lot of ideas from those that are creating the pages. This is where I find that most people get to the "I am just going to give up" point in scrapbooking their memories. I know it can be frustrating to feel uncreative.

I was just chatting with a friend today about my business and she invited me to a special event for Women in Business. This is being put on by the Mary Kay Consultants here in the Spokane/Coeur D'Alene Area. I signed up to be a part of it to get to know a different group of women and to promote my business. I get to have a complimentary facial and makeup workup along with a photo taken and a feature in I guess a newsletter that circulates amongst the Mary Kay Consultants and their clientel. So this is a great opportunity. Anyway, Katie, my new Mary Kay Consultant and friend was telling me that she thought my work was more than just scrapbooking but a "Work of Art," A design......and that my format is unique and special in its design! I love this because it truly is a little different from your average scrapbooking. So, I look forward to meeting with Katie and all her other Colleagues at the Women in Business Event on Friday!

Hello to all of you have just joined my pages of blogs! This is by far the easiest way for me to publicly show my audience what I do. I don't even begin to touch on what I CAN do here. I have been scrapbooking for over 8 years now. My mother in law introduced me by buying me some supplies. Those supplies turned into a love that I can't even begin to describe to you. Scrapbooking is my time to unwind and relax after a long day with my kids. I especially love to scrapbook my childrens lives and make memories with photos. It is all about telling the story. I simply enjoy creating a page for those of you that want to make memories but don't find time, or it is just another "stress" in your life. So please, let me know what I can do to help you out! I do have a pretty booked up calendar that is really going no where at the moment due to a very important home improvement project that we are trying to complete. This is where it all happens!

This is what THE ROOM looks like! I spend long hours at night working hard to preserve memories of my family and yours in this room. It is a quaint space with lots of love surrounding me. My kids photos and me and my husband are lining the walls in frames and on my cork wall!

This is my new printer! It is a photo printer made by Epson that can print photos and other items at the size of 13"X19"! This is a fabulous addition to my room making 12X12 albums a joy to do for others! And one day soon I hope to design paper....custom especially for you and your family to enjoy!

Wedding Albums

Hello All!

I am currently working on three wedding albums with very different colors and themes. They are all gifts to very dear loved ones and friends. But I assure you, if you can have a wedding album made especially for you and your event it is totally worth the price. The first album is for my Brother-in-law and his fiance Denee! They will be having a black and ivory wedding with a very formal theme. So, I am using the La Creme stack and Card stock stack. It is very beautiful french looking paper that has incredible flocking that stands out on each page. I am embellishing pages with paper flowers and ribbon and die cuts. It is a simple concept but once the photos are added it will be a fabulous addition to the Newlyweds family. Just a little keepsake to remember the day when the groom and bride became Mr. and Mrs.

The second album I am working on is for a dear friend Rebecca Lermusik. She had the great pleasure of babysitting my daughter Hannah when she was just a baby. She is getting married at the end of August and is doing a simple yet elegant wedding. Her colors are Plum and Apple Green. Very sharp combination of colors but oh so pretty. I will be using the Latte Stack and some various other papers in creating a beautiful 25 page album of her and her fiance's special day, minus the photos, of course.

The third album is for my dear but very distant friend Rebekah Olsen and her fiance Jeffrey. They are going to be married at the Chief Hosa Lodge near Denver Colorado. It is an absolute gorgeous location with the most desired outdoor scenery. If you enjoy the outdoors and beauty of God's creation then this wedding destination would be right up your alley. And they are marrying in the morning with the guests appetite being breakfast. Rebekah tells me that a special cinnamon roll cake is being made for the reception and the colors are green and silver. It is a very casual wedding with the celebration of not just a couple uniting but a family. So in this album there will be pages to incorporate the special union of not only husband and wife but that also of two very special boys. Having a custom album made and created to your liking can make situations that are unique and special come alive. There are no limits to creating an album for you and your family and for the needs and desires you would like to share with your family and friends.

Opportunities to create new keepsakes

Hello All,

Currently I have received an interesting order unlike anything I have ever done before. The nice thing about scrap booking is there is no rules and skies the limit. I have a client whom is celebrating the union of not 2 people but 3 people, rather, a family. The couple had a baby and are going to be vowing their lives at the end of June. Her request was to create a family album keepsake for the new family. The family is a very outgoing outdoors family and they are actually taking a hike somewhere and getting married at the hikes destination. It will be a small and intimate occasion. A reception for family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate their union together.

I have some fabulous ideas to incorporate their lifestyle into their keepsake album. I thought I would begin the album with the introduction of the three of them as a family. And then move into the moments of bringing a precious baby into the world. I am going to create a timeline for those very special milestone moments babies in their first year always experience. And also try to tell the story of how the two decided to plan the event of making the three family. Of course their will be a page for a bride and a page for a groom and pages to tell the story of their journey on the trail to unite. I will have several pages to record the reception, the moment they celebrate with all of those they love. And then complete the album with events that are special in most families annually. It should be a very fun album to create and give my business a different look to those from the outside looking in.

Truly there is nothing that can not be accomplished to make each person's lives special in a keepsake album. I can help you and walk you through any decisions you might be making to create an album that will last longer than your lifetime but through generations. Telling the story of our lives helps those that come after us know a little of our history and the importance or family and being.
